B.Des Accessory Design is a full-time four-year course. This course deals with the designing of accessories that can be paired with ethnic and modern attire including designing jewelry, hair accessory, belts, scarves, footwear, bags, etc.
Accessory Design has a well-defined curriculum for developing integrated expertise in design methodology, materials and production process, consumer behavior and market dynamics, trends and forecast interpretations, business practices, and project management in the field of fashion and lifestyle accessories.
The program is structured to inculcate various aspects of design as a value-added tool and the way design operates at various levels such as aesthetics, markets, management, strategy as well as technology.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Des Accessory Design
1. The candidate should have qualified 10+2 (any stream + English) or it's equivalent from a recognized board of education with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
2. Candidates must also appear for and qualify for entrance exams conducted by various colleges/ institutes.
3. Candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate in 10+2. Some institutes also provide relaxation to SC/ ST categories.
Admission Process
1. B.Des Accessory Design on the basis of entrance exams conducted at national/ state or institute level while some offer admissions on the basis of merit in last qualifying examinations.
2. Candidates can appear for the entrance exams such as NIFT, NPAT, UPES DAT etc on the provided examination date.
3. Candidates may be required to pass extra rounds, such as personal interviews or other criteria, depending on the institute. The results of the Entrance Exam are also accepted by several universities.

The course also incorporates presentations through exhibitions, fashion shows, workshops, seminars, and such activities.
